For a haute and fresh look, white is my go-to-color. It is the easiest way to look polished. Instead of the literal all-white-outfit, I threw on a pair of checkered printed shorts to add an interesting touch to the ensemble.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Red is the go-to color of the day. Why not change it up? I went for a simple outfit with intricate details. This romper goes perfectly with this pair of heels because of the matching bejeweled details. I like the simplicity of the outfit. The rhinestones add an Ibiza vibe to the ensemble. This is one of the easiest outfits I’ve put together — simplicity is the key to making it work.
Floral harem pants are perfect to add a fun but corporate feel to one’s outfit. I got this lovely pair of pants on sale at Apartment 8. I love coming across bargains, especially for stand-out clothing pieces like this one. Since the pants are full-on floral print, I wore it with plain black and white clothes and accessorized with a simple gold chain necklace. There’s already a lot going on with the clothes so I tried to offset it with white barely-there heels.
These pants remind me of those bouquets boyfriends give their girlfriends. I am not one of those girls who love getting bouquets though. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the gesture, I really do, but I just see more value in a single rose than the biggest bouquet of flowers ever created. Just a little advice since Valentine’s Day is coming up. Give your special someone a single rose. Not just any rose though, pick the most beautiful and perfect rose you have ever seen. You could also go with something more lasting but still delicate like a glass rose or something. Sometimes the simplest of things can send the biggest message.

One of the easiest clothing pieces to style are rompers. I don’t just go for any old romper though, I go for either classic or bold ones. It is essential to go for unique looking rompers because it basically comprises your entire outfit — you wouldn’t want to look boring, right? These one-piece wonders are a breeze to wear — just throw on a few accessories here and there and an adorable pair of shoes and you’re good to go. This black and white romper from Topshop is clean and classic but the lace detail on top makes it unique.
I am one of those people who have a hard time letting go of the weekend so I end up just laying on my bed like the lazy person that I am. When I finally decide to get up, I am left with around 20 minutes to prepare for school. You have no idea how much that sucks. LOL. This is exactly why I invest in interesting one-piece clothing pieces — like this romper. It just makes being fashionable easier (and faster).
Apologies for the overexposed quality of the images, I am trying out a new photographer. Special thanks to my awesome friend, Nat, for the photos. What do you think of my outfit for the day?

Channeled a li’l Daisy Duke in today’s outfit. I wanted to wear something dressed down and comfy but still interesting, which is why I went for these cut-offs. This pair of shorts actually started out as pants. I, of course, don’t really like pants so I cut and bleached it to create cut-offs with an ombre effect (view the full D.I.Y. process here). I paired the ombre shorts with a simple stripped crop top from Dash & Donnaand finished the look of with these adorable Sperry Top-sider heels from Shoe Addict. What do you think of my dressed down look?
Special thanks to Dash & Donna for this lovely top and to Nat Centeno for my outfit shots.

Put a little spin on the classic black & white pairing. I wanted the hi-low skirt to be the focal point of the outfit so I surrounded it with white and nude pieces. The gold accents add a futuristic touch to the ensemble. My favorite clothing item in this outfit is the skirt. My siblings call this piece “the cape skirt.”LOL. (It kinda does look like a cape actually) I designed this skirt and had it made. What do you think of it? As for the title of this outfit post, the song entitled “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen keeps playing in my head — I just cant seem to let it go (pun intended). If you haven’t watched frozen I suggest you do because you are a missing a lot. There is enough cuteness in that movie to last a lifetime.
There are days when I just wish I could get school over and done with, but lately I have been thinking about the future and what it entails exactly and just the mere thought of it terrifies me. People have been bombarding me with questions about what I plan to do after graduation and I honestly have no f***ing idea. Don’t get me wrong, I am excited to accomplish the graduation milestone but I am not as excited to free-fall into the unknown. Yes, it is exciting to start a new chapter in my life but that doesn’t make it any less scary. I am not usually a coward but everything is so overwhelming right now. The title says it all — I am simply dazed.
Now onto my outfit for the day. I wore this ensemble to a day filled with meetings and errands. They weren’t all that formal so I opted for a sophisticated top and bottom with a blazer. The blazer ties everything together. When in doubt, throw on a structured blazer/jacket — it does wonders, trust me.
P.S. Nude heels are my go-to footwear when I want to look taller than I really am. It’s a neat trick so try it out!
Decided to make this (former turtleneck) sweater more tropical climate friendly so I just took my trusty scissors and snipped away. There’s something quite liberating about this little project and the resulting low-cut piece of clothing. My collar area feels so free but, at the same time, not too exposed.
I am not usually a fan of green but I was blinded by all the sparkles! The sweater reminds me of a jungle so I paired it with other jungle-like pieces — like my leopard print skirt and gold trimmed booties. What do you think of this jungle themed outfit?
When the boy saw my outfit, the first thing he said was “I can see your bra.” So I said, “I know, it’s so pretty right?” He just made this confused face. I just told him, “what’s the point of having a pretty bra if no one can see it?” The boy ended up doing a facepalm. I know showing off your intimates is considered a fashion faux pas but, personally, I think it’s quite alright — just as long as you don’t show too much.
I wore this outfit to my photoshoot with Ava. It was my first time to do a catalog type shoot for them — check out the photos from the shoot here!

If there’s one secret to looking naturally fabulous, it’s proper skin care. It is essential for every woman to identify the type of skin she has and to come up with a skin care regimen that caters specifically to her skin type. Also, learning the Do’s and Don’ts of skin care will keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
I, of course, have no idea about these things because I simply cleanse my face with water and Cetaphil, so I consulted with the experts of Mary Kay Philippines. I underwent their Skin Care Workshop with the lovely Karen Bordador and Christine Luang. Through the workshop, I learned everything from proper cleansing techniques to make-up application tips. This experience is not only educational but a fun way to pamper yourself and spend quality time with your girlfriends.
The workshop began with an assessment of our skin types and skin care practices. This was followed by the hand spa treatment and the cleansing of the face.
We were all trying really hard not to crack the mask
After peeling off the mask, moisturizing, and toning — it’s time to apply make-up!
Make-up tip: applying highlighter under the eyebrow enhances its shape and emphasizes the eyes.
The daytime look on Karen Bordador. Isn’t she lovely?
Just a few finishing touches and Voila!
Our new and improved faces! LOL. What do you think of our new look?
Special thanks to Peewee of Mary Kay for this lovely day of pampering.
A comfy outfit I put together for another one of those never ending school days. I have 2 more months left of school before graduation and I am so excited to finally be free. Sometimes, going with simple laid-back ensembles is a good break from overdone outfits.
Happy New Year! Or should I say Happy New You? The start of the year is the best time to reinvent yourself — just let go of the past and look forward to an exciting future.
"Blank Slate" is a fitting title for my first post of 2014 and this outfit goes with this title perfectly. Be thankful for the awesome times and learn from the bad times of 2013. Take some time to reflect on who you were, who you are, and who you want to be. Now that 2014 has barely begun, take the necessary steps to work towards becoming the person you have always wanted to be and to do the things you have always wanted to accomplish. Remember, it is never too late for second chances and new beginnings.
Special thanks to Yuki for the photos and Edson of MAC for my Hair and Makeup.
Cheers to second chances and new beginnings!

Just a casual holiday look to match the season. Sporting loose tops with tight bottoms are perfect for places with unpredictable weather — like the Philippines.
I am not much for wish lists or anything but every single year I find myself wishing for snow. I know it’s an impossibility since the Philippines is usually hot but there’s just something so beautiful and fun about snow. Here’s to hoping this miracle will happen this Christmas!
Christmas is an amazing season that revolves around love. There is more love in the Christmas season than there is on Valentines Day. So don’t worry about giving or receiving gifts or fussing over perfecting traditions. Just fill your days with love and you will end up in a happy place.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

Mixing printed fashion pieces is an effortless way to come up with a playful outfit. The tiger eyes print on the blue top beautifully contrasts the black and pink diamond print on the heels. I love the unexpected pairing of prints in this outfit. Also, I used my favorite skater skirt as a buffer between the prints.
For some reason, I have this new-found fondness for barely there heels — like this pair from Pretty Fit. It is a simple but elegant style of heels that is amazingly comfy. Barely there heels can be easily paired with the most casual outfits (like this one) to even the most format outfits. What do you think of my outfit for the day?

The ombre trend may have come and gone but my penchant for this lovely fashion statement drives me to do even more Do-it-yourself projects. The best part about DIY projects is coming up with your very own unique piece of clothing at minimal cost.
I came across this polo and I found it a bit too normal so I decided to bleach it. Before doing anything that involves bleach, I always make it a point to use gloves, work in an open space, and gather all my materials beforehand. Bleach is harmful to the skin, eyes, and nose so it’s best to take the necessary precautions.
Step 1: Prepare your work space and gather your materials
Things you’ll need…
Distilled White Vinegar
Bucket/ Tub/ Sink
Step 2: Mix bleach solution (1/2 bleach, 1/2 water) in the bucket and submerge the denim polo (any way you want)
Leave an allowance of 2 inches because the bleach will run up from where it is being soaked (I learned this the hard way). Let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
*leaving the polo/top in the bleach solution for too long will destroy the denim
DON’T FORGET TO WEAR RUBBER GLOVES! bleach can stain clothes and burn the skin — protect yourself.
Step 3: Transfer the denim polo to the vinegar solution (water + a little white vinegar) to stop the bleaching process then rinse well with cold water
Step 4: Hang it to dry then toss it in the wash
Once dry, toss the ombre polo in the washing machine — ON ITS OWN. Do not wash it with other clothes because the bleach will stain the rest of the clothes in the wash. After washing the polo on its own, it can be washed with other clothes.
Voila! that’s how to create your very own ombre polo! Well, that’s it for this post. I would love to see how your DIY ombre polos turn out, so why not try it out?
Peplum pieces are easy to style and are, simply, adorable. This hot pink peplum top is already an eye-catching piece so I paired it with simple white shorts to balance the overall look. Since I was running late for a photoshoot, I grabbed a pair of teal heels and dashed for the door. I didn’t even have time to accessorize. The necklace thing around my neck is actually my house key. One thing about me is I am a careless person. I tend to lose things a lot so I come up with weird ways to make sure important things (like my house keys) don’t get lost. It’s kind of weird, I know. It’s a good method though, this particular key has been with me for months now.
For those looking for something to do tonight, drop by FIASCO at Decagon (Tiendesitas). It is an open party with a fashion show, which I will be modeling for. The event will surely be fun so see you there!
